The Visual Studies Course template may be used to format an article for a Visual Studies course.

Usage

First, create a new Screenpedia "article." Click here for new-page instructions.

Then, copy the following text into a new article. Then add appropriate data on the line AFTER the line starting with a pipe symbol -- that is, a | .

as a prerequisite to a major course or are simply required by the major. 
This means a "C" of any kind.

Parameters

Here's what is expect for each of the parameters in the template.

Parameter Explanation
Overview Enticing description of the course.
Catalog_Course_Description Directly from the UA course catalog.
Course_Objectives Current buzzword for what the course teaches students.
Target_Students Anticipated student audience (like, CCIS students, art history students,open only to

majors, alternate reg number for non-majors, etc).

Companion_Website Online home for the course, if one exists. (Currently unable to link directly into eLearning sites.)
Instructor Name and contact information. If he/she has a Screenpedia page, then link to it. Separate name and contact info with a line break (<br />).
Course_Assignments Be as detailed as seems appropriate.
Course_Outline Major topics covered, and their order. (Don't include dates as those will change each semester.)
Texts Books, images, films, etc.
Course_Number Official UA number, with section number — especially important for "topics" classes.
Prerequisites As appropriate. If none, then state so.
Other_Requirements Requirements such as portfolios.
When_Offered During which semesters is the course typically offered.
When_Offered_Next If known, list the next semester during which it'll be offered.
Miscellaneous Anything else.
